Privacy Policy

Overview

At Gymbilly, we take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Gymbilly app for iPhone and Apple Watch and when you visit our website, gymbilly.com.

Data Storage

Your workouts, routines, sets, weights, rest times, body measurements, notes, the details in “About you” and your settings are stored on your iPhone and synced directly to your own Apple Watch. We never receive them.

Without an account, the Gymbilly app does not:

• Collect any personal information
• Send your workout or body data to our servers or to third parties
• Include advertising, analytics, or tracking software

Apple Health

With your permission, Gymbilly on Apple Watch measures your heart rate during workouts and saves your workouts to Apple Health. Health data is only used to show it to you in the app. It is never sent to our servers, never shared with friends, and never used for advertising or sold.

Accounts and Friends

An account is optional and only needed to add friends. You can sign in with Apple or with your email address and a one-time code. When you have an account, we store:

• Your email address, or the identifier Sign in with Apple gives us (Apple may share a private relay address instead of your real one)
• Your username, display name and, if you add one, your profile photo
• Your friends, friend requests, and the people you block or report
• The workouts you share: name, date and duration, exercises with sets and reps (and weights, unless you hide them), the muscles trained, and the high-fives and nudges you send and receive

Only workouts finished after you sign in are shared, and only with your friends. You can stop sharing, hide weights, or keep any workout private in the app. Your friends can see what you share; nobody else can.

Service Providers

Our servers, database and profile photos are hosted by Microsoft Azure in the European Union (Ireland). Email sign-in is handled by Microsoft Entra External ID, and Sign in with Apple by Apple. These providers process data on our behalf under their data protection terms. Our servers keep standard logs, such as IP addresses, times and errors, for security and reliability, for up to 90 days.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete account. Your profile, photo, friends, shared workouts, high-fives and nudges are deleted from our servers immediately, and your Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked. Reports other people filed about an account are kept only as long as needed to handle them.

Data stored on your devices stays there until you delete it in the app or delete the app.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how it is used. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, contact us. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Exporting Your Data

Backups and CSV exports are created on your device, and you decide where to save or send them. Gymbilly does not upload them anywhere.

Permissions

Gymbilly asks for the following permissions only when you use a feature that needs them:

Health

To measure heart rate during workouts on Apple Watch and to save your workouts to Apple Health.

Notifications

To tell you when a rest is over. These notifications are scheduled on your device.

Photos

Only the photo you pick for your profile is used. Gymbilly doesn't get access to your photo library.

Our Website

Our website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and reliability.

Children's Privacy

Gymbilly is not directed at children under 13, and accounts may not be created by anyone under 13 or the minimum age in their country. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date, and we will tell you in the app about important changes.
